Improving achievement requires more than one initiative or one program.
The district's approach includes:
- Stronger Tier I instruction
- Consistent curriculum and instructional expectations
- MTSS and targeted intervention
- Assessment practices that provide timely information
- K–12 vertical alignment
- Professional learning and coaching
- Attendance and engagement strategies
- School improvement plans with measurable goals
- Regular monitoring of student data
Each school will continue to establish building-level goals aligned with the district's Strategic Plan.
The district will also continue developing a Strategic Plan dashboard so that progress can be monitored over time and communicated more clearly to the Board, staff, families, and community.
