Would the district still have to address the Middle School?

Yes. The facility needs identified at the Middle School would remain regardless of the outcome of the bond. The difference would be how the district addresses them. One option is to continue operating the existing facility and determine how to fund necessary repairs and improvements; this would likely be included in the scope of a revised bond proposal. The current bond proposal provides a different pathway: construct new 7th–8th grade space at the high school campus and reduce the number of separate buildings operated by the district.
